Alanis Morissette is swapping singing for acting again after agreeing to guest star as a lesbian in the new series of the Miami-set plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck.
The Canadian-born singer will appear in three episodes of the hit series, as a love interest for Dr Liz Cruz.
The 32-year-old has previously starred in the film Dogma and the TV series Curb Your Enthusiasm.
It will be the first time in the show's history that feminist anaesthesiologist Dr Cruz, played by actress Roma Maffia, is given a girlfriend.
In addition to the Jagged Little Pill singer, fans of the show can look forward to an esteemed roster of guest stars in the new series, which is premiering in the US this autumn.
Other confirmed special guests in the fourth series include Rosie O'Donnell and Brooke Shields.
Richard Chamberlain, Melissa Gilbert and Kathleen Turner will also appear.
And French actress Catherine Deneuve will feature in one episode. |
