Katie Melua - a recommendable jazz singer
Katie Melua, a 21-year-old Russian-born British singer, is maybe not very well known, but she’s really a bright-future talented chanteuse.
On one of these evenings, while searching for my favorite singer Norah Jones’ CD through “taobao.com”, I happened on Katie Melua, who was highly evaluated similar with Norah in the music style “jazz and blues”, even called “the next Norah Jones”. So I managed to hunt for her songs with great curiosity on “baidu.com” and “verycd.com”. At the first sight of her album's cover, then I judged her not bad by her appearance! Subsequently, I was simply enthralled with her wonderful music and smooth voice. The first one of her songs I heard, called “Nine Million Bicycles” as a lead track on her second album "Piece And Piece", was a piece of pretty melodious and a little jazzed music works. After that I downloaded both her albums “Call Off The Search” and “Piece and Piece”. Wow, either of them was my very acquisition!
I bet you must love her and her music, if you like this style like jazz and blues. I recommend some of her songs as followings,
